Toolbar
You can open a new file with this button. If you have made any changes to the file that you are currently using, you will be prompted to save them before opening the new file.
Load a file from disk. (Saved profiles are placed on the disk with the extension MON)
Save the present configuration to disk. If you are saving the file for the first time, the system will prompt you to provide a file name. If, for example, you provided the filename config_1, the file will be saved as config_1.mon (the variables allocated to controls will also be saved along with file).
Once you have finished configuring the interface, you should add a data source to capture data from the hardware device. This should be done before performing a run operation. When in run mode, the controls will be immediately refreshed according to the incoming data. You will be unable to re-configure the system whilst this mode is in operation.
This is the default setting that will be in place when you open the Monitor. You can use this mode to:
- Add controls to the Design window
- Set the properties of the placed controls
- Resize the controls
- Move the controls
- Customize them
- Add variables to the inputs of the controls
- Customize the variables
- Add multiple tabs
- Save and Load configuration files (MON files).
Using this button, you can add a new tab. Once you click on this button an Input box will appear. Enter a unique caption in the box and click on OK.
Using this button, you can clear the current tab. It will remove all of the controls and the variables that are allocated to them.
Using this button, you can enable the labels of all of the controls that are placed on the design window. (N.B. Any control added after this button has been pressed will not be displayed - in this case the label on button must be pressed again)
The user can instantly turn off all of the labels from the controls in the design window.
