VariableDescriptions / ADASTest

ADAS Test variables

The following are the lateral, longitudinal, and direct distances to the start / end / current collision course of the test; all have a resolution of 1mm.

  • Long dist start
  • Lat dist start
  • Direct dist start
  • Direct time start
  • Long dist end
  • Lat dist end
  • Direct dist end
  • Direct time end
  • Long collision dist end
  • Lat collision dist end
  • Direct collision dist end
  • Direct collision time end

Notes:

  • For the lateral distance (lateral distance to start/end/collision) , -ve indicates to the left of the target, +ve to the right
  • Direct distance to start/end/collision:
This is the direct distance from the current rover location to the target centre, at the current target location (i.e. target movement ignored).
  • Distinction between the end position and collision position:
    • End is the current marker position, or a line through it perpendicular to the current vehicle travel.
    • Collision is the projected collision location with the target, taking into account both hunter and target velocity, but not accel.
So with a target position which is not moving, the end and collision will be the same. When the end position is moving they will not be.
